North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has apparently shown his soft side – which is, you know, kinda rare when you’re the dictator of a trigger-friendly country ready to start a fight at any given moment. It was reported that the leader gave out a very rare note of empathy and sadness on Wednesday when he cited the regime’s failings during a visit to a mining district heavily damaged by a typhoon.
He also showed an even softer(?) side during North Korea’s Saturday military parade to mark the 75th anniversary of the Kingdom’s founding. Kimmy thanked his huge crowds for the “zero” cases of COVID-19 in the country.
However, not to mention that the years of international sanctions put in place in response to the regime’s nuclear and missile programmes have most likely added to his difficulties.
